If you love herbs there’s sage in hundreds and they smell amazing. \nOnce you get to the gorge and into the caves you get to appreciate the beautiful diatomite mines\, and cool caves and watch beautiful birds sing and fly across. It’s hot so quick-dry clothes are the best. Remember to carry enough water (3L Min) and snacks to keep your energy high throughout.

The hill is part of the greater Kikuyu escarpment. From the floor of the rift valley for about 10km to the hike\, you get to see Osotua camp and Namcha ranch. As you ascend the hill\, you get to learn the history of the area where over 100 people were killed in what is known as Kedong massacre. You will also see the Olonana boundary among other features.
